Rapid Manufacturing is not just about making the part but concerns their inclusion in higher level assemblies, and how parts fit together to function correctly. WCM have a dedicated clean assembly hall, where the latest assembly practices have been introduced into a low volume production assembly environment. Our suppliers deliver parts to be assembled against schedules in reusable stillage, restocking our floating storage area otherwise known as the “Market Place”. Stock is kept to a minimum and key bin locations make it easy for our multi-skilled assembly operators to locate and pick parts. All product assemblies follow a designated route and when a specific operation is called out for the product flows into a committed area, which allows us to remain flexible, maintain quality levels and respond to Client schedules. Committed areas include Hot Plate welding, Vibration welding, adhesive welding, Electronic assembly, Vibro milling, and Machining.
